    About this opportunity:

    We are seeking a full-time Senior Project Manager to oversee the construction and delivery of both new construction and renovation projects ranging from $10 - $130+ million.


    Job responsibilities include:

    • Oversee total project supervision effort to ensure appropriate personnel, budget, and schedule are met.
    • Setup and Lead all pre-award subcontractor meetings in advance of starting project.
    • Proficient understanding of owner contractual agreements AIA and/or Public Entities in addition to a proficient understanding of subcontract terms and conditions.
    • Support the Superintendent with on-site safety and administration of safety culture and program.
    • Assist with the growth and development of PM’s, APm’s and PE.
    • Assist Preconstruction Manager through the preconstruction process including
      • Estimates
      • Subcontract Scoping
      • Narratives and Qualifications
      • Schedule – Joint with Superintendent – Super develops schedule
      • Participate in the planning and formulation of design alternatives and solutions for major construction projects
      • Reviews and interprets proposed designs, and building specifications for appropriateness to required function and/or institutional standard, and initiates revisions where appropriate; advises consultants and clients as to how best to achieve required results
    • Responsible for Construction Administration including
      • Oversight to all Subcontracting administration
      • Authorizes the issuance of contracts, purchase orders, and change orders, and approves contractor invoices for payment
      • Project Insurance policies – GL and/or Builders Risk
      • Acquiring permit and Permit revisions
      • Oversight and management of Project Engineer and if assigned a Project Administrator
        • Pay Applications
        • Processing changes – acquiring pricing, reviewing for compliance and fairness and submitting to owner.
        • Owner Change Orders
      • Jointly support the Superintendent in creation and execution of the Project schedule and 3-week planners
    • Manage and oversight for the Project Engineer/Assistant PM and their duties:
        • Submittal Schedules
        • Submittals
        • Material & Equipment Procurements
        • Requests for Information
    • Manages construction budget throughout project
    • Expedite and monitor material and equipment approval
    • Receive, price and incorporate changes in the scope of work

    The ideal candidate will possess:

    • Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in commercial construction leading, managing, and delivering construction projects as the lead responsible person for the responsibilities listed above. .
    • Construction Background: An expert level of understanding of construction means and methods; knowledge of federal, state, and local building codes, ordinances and regulations; ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements; and fiscal management experience.
    • Leadership Skills: Creativity and confidence in solving problems as part of a team
    • Eye for Details: Accuracy is critical for success in this role. Candidate must have superior organizational, communication (both written and verbal) and decision-making skills.
    • Tech know-how: A strong background in using all Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, as well as being adept in using general computer software, project management software(s), Bluebeam, scheduling software etc.

    We are seeking a full-time Construction Project Superintendent to join our team. This position is based out of our Grand Rapids location. The Project Superintendent leads commercial construction projects in the field, and plans, organizes and manages the daily operations on the job site.

    • Jobsite supervision, oversee all subcontractors and trades
    • Develop, update and implement project schedules
    • Implementation of quality assurance program
