Ottawa County Road Commission's new Coopersville Maintenance Complex houses three new buildings. Under construction in 2020, the current project includes a new 49,000 square-foot vehicle maintenance facility and a 9,500 square-foot equipment storage building. The third building, a salt storage shed, was previously built in 2017.
The vehicle maintenance facility will feature an automated truck wash for dump trucks and plows, the first of its kind for Ottawa County. The building will also include extensive maintenance areas and parts storage, indoor heated parking, as well as office, kitchen, restroom, and locker space for Road Commission staff.
Completing the project in 2020 is a top priority for Ottawa County. To expedite the construction schedule, our team offered a streamlined Design-Build project delivery, and selected a precast concrete structure, which considerably reduced the length of the erection sequence. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2020.
One of the unique things about this building is the fact that it is made out of precast concrete panels.
