Owen‑Ames‑Kimball Co. (O‑A‑K), local professional construction firm, announces the promotion of Jeremy Amshey to Chief Operating Officer.
“At a time of extraordinary growth for our 129-year-old company, we are committed to serving our clients with teamwork and integrity. Jeremy’s contributions in this executive role will ensure we continue to meet this goal,” said Frank Stanek, O‑A‑K’s Chief Executive Officer. “Jeremy understands the human side of operations. He is strategic in his thinking, leads by example, and above all, values every team member.”
The new role was developed as part of a leadership restructuring plan, which includes added support for O‑A‑K’s expanding field operations. Announced in December of 2019, the company also promoted Cade Dammen to Director of Field Operations. Both Dammen and Amshey are also corporate shareholders.
A West Michigan native, Amshey’s career in construction began in the trades, as a finish carpenter. He has been with the firm since 2008, holding various positions including Project Superintendent, Senior Project Manager, and most recently, Director of Operations. Amshey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in construction management from Ferris State University and an Associate of Arts in architectural graphics from Grand Rapids Community College.
Amshey and his wife have three children and live in the Rockford area. He also serves as a board member for the Rockford Education Foundation and a mentor for Grand Rapids Public Schools’ Academy for Design and Construction.
