Owen‑Ames‑Kimball Completes Gateway Trinity Lutheran Church Addition and Renovations
Owen‑Ames‑Kimball Company (O‑A‑K), a preeminent general contractor with a longstanding presence in Southwest Florida, has completed renovations of Gateway Trinity Lutheran Church, located at 11381 Gateway Boulevard in Fort Myers.
Phase I consisted of renovations to existing reception lobby, offices, restrooms, kitchen and lanai. Phase II was the construction of a 13,303 sq. ft. addition with a 4,356 sq. ft. welcome /multi-purpose room with cafe and recessed ceiling lighting. The 8,947 sq. ft. sanctuary features raised dais and choir/music platforms, suspended curved ceiling panel system and an 808 sq. ft. porte-cochere.
"The building expansion was necessitated by the phenomenal growth in the church's ministries and programs, the burgeoning growth in the community, the outreach focused ministry, and providing an additional meeting resource for the Gateway community. O‑A‑K understood our unique needs as a church community and met our timeline." said Ken Hauer, building committee, Gateway Trinity Lutheran Church.
The O‑A‑K project manager was Jane Gaia. The job site superintendent was David Campbell, and Matthew Zwack is the vice president of operations and general superintendent. Abel Natali, O‑A‑K vice president, was the chief estimator.
