Owen‑Ames‑Kimball Company (O‑A‑K), a preeminent general contractor with a longstanding presence in Southwest Florida, has announced the hiring of Robb Lux as a superintendent.
Lux started his career as a laboratory and field technician testing construction materials. He was promoted to laboratory manager when he also served as a mentor to junior team members. Preferring to work outside and engage with clients, Lux became a job site superintendent for commercial construction projects and used his skills to take on project management roles. Lux is skilled in multiple construction disciplines, including masonry and site work. He is certified by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for workplace safety and health. In addition, he is certified in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). He is also boom lift, forklift, and scissor lift certified. Lux completed his studies at St. Paul Technical College in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Lux has extensive experience in school construction projects and worked on O‑A‑K’s construction of the new Lehigh Middle School and is currently overseeing projects for Collier County Schools.
“Robb is well-versed in working with clients and subcontractors, creating and maintaining projects, schedules and budgets, and safe and efficient job sites,” said Matthew Zwack, president of O‑A‑K Florida. “With his skills in multiple construction disciplines, he is a great asset to any project.”
