Owen‑Ames‑Kimball Company (O‑A‑K), a preeminent general contractor with a longstanding presence in Southwest Florida, has been recognized in the Business Observer’s Top 50 Contractors third largest company in the region. O‑A‑K was ranked number 6 the previous year.
Each year the Business Observer ranks companies from Polk County to Collier County based on reported annual revenue. Companies must be in a contracting field: electrical, general construction, roofing, HVAC, and more.
On this year’s list, which reflects 2020 fiscal year data, O‑A‑K ranked number three with $310 million in revenue, up 6.9% from 2019. On the complete list, revenue for the top 50 fell 11.6%.
Major projects by O‑A‑K in 2020 include the 167,000 square foot Lehigh Acres Middle School, which will open in August 2021, The 36,000 square foot Heights Early Learning and Education Center, and Family Health Center’s Lehigh Acres 63,100 square foot medical building.
