Owen Ames Kimball Company (O A K), a preeminent general contractor with a longstanding presence in Southwest Florida, has named Charles “Chase” Harrison Project Manager.
For the past three years, Harrison worked as an Assistant Project Manager for a privately-held construction firm that provides general building, bridge, road, and civil works, pipeline, and specialty construction services. He coordinated project work and reviewed quality of information from architects, engineers and superintendents, conducted quality control inspections of scope of work, contracts and product delivery per contracted schedule, created and reviewed contracts for projects of $8 million plus, assisted in permitting processes and monthly project reports, and developed training and control standards for entry-level positions.
Noteworthy projects he contributed to include the $300 million Southwest Florida International Airport terminal expansion, Collier County School Board Continuous Projects for Renovation, and the Fuel and Automatic Bus Wash facility in Immokalee.
Prior to his role as Assistant Project Manager, Harrison worked for the Collier County government as a Safety Inspector and Operations Manager. Here, he managed the implementation of initiatives such as the state-funded Styrofoam recycling program. Additionally, he contributed to significant county projects like the $200 million Paradise Coast Sports Complex and the renovation of the North Collier Regional Park Activity Pool.
Harrison holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration from Florida Southwestern State College. His academic foundation in public administration provides him with valuable insights into organizational management and project execution.
“Chase has an extensive background in construction and project management, making him a valuable addition to the Owen‑Ames‑Kimball Company," said Matthew Zwack, Florida division president of Owen‑Ames‑Kimball Co. “His experience spans across roles in both the private and public sectors, demonstrating his versatility and proficiency in overseeing large-scale projects. He is equipped to contribute effectively to our company's projects and objectives.”
Harrison is certified in Procore construction management software and Alison Supply Chain Management and Capacity Planning.
Outside of work, Harrison enjoys spending time with his daughters, training for upcoming races, doing CrossFit and golfing on the beautiful greens in Southwest Florida.
