Why did you choose the construction industry?

Growing up, my dad was a general foreman in the construction industry. I was enamored with high-rise concrete construction and always wanted to work with him. I went to public schools in Denver, and after graduating from high school joined the carpenters union to complete a 4-year apprenticeship. Soon after I started taking night classes at Metro State to further my education and work towards becoming a superintendent. I've loved it since, and now I even get to work with my son!

What do you do in your free time?

I love to go fishing in the Rocky Mountains with my family. I also enjoy watching Star Trek: The Next Generation.

What is your favorite book?

"The Pearl" by John Steinbeck
