Amanecer Elementary School is situated on approx. 36.18 acres, next to the Lehigh Acres Middle School which O‑A‑K completed construction on in 2021. Amanecer Elementary School (completed in July 2023) has 1,034 student stations and utilized the District's prototype elementary school concept, updating and modifying the prototype design to meet both current codes and School District design change requirements. Included in the main building is the cafeteria/auditorium area with modern kitchen equipment including the largest walk-in freezer in the District. A separate 1,119 s.f. physical education building with 3,993 s.f. covered play area were also constructed. This project also included alterations to the previously built 4,930 s.f. central energy plant.
Construction Management work complied with Florida State Statutes, State Requirements for Educational Facilities (SREF), School Board requirements, SMART School criteria and all codes relevant to school construction.
