Two-story Meadow Park Elementary School was awarded a LEED for Schools Gold Certification as well as a 2013 ABC Excellence in Construction Merit Award . It is full hurricane forced wind resistant impact rated structure constructed with the tilt-wall method and sits on a 12.9 acre site. Along with the 44 classrooms with Interactive teaching boards, digital cameras, audio enhanced sound systems, the students enjoy the media center and the multipurpose/dining area which is served by the fully equipped commercial kitchen. Physical fitness is taught th the separate physical education building or the covered play area, play fields and two fenced playgrounds. The School District retained and remodeled a 4,000 sq.ft. outer building used for physical education offices, mechanical, electrical room and air conditioner room. The project also included demolition of the old school.
