Completed in August 2024, this state-of-the-art K-5 elementary school was built to accommodate a growing student population, adjacent to an active neighborhood.
The new school was designed around 21st century learning principles. Features include:
• Collaborative learning spaces & extended learning areas
• Outdoor learning areas
• Integrated technology
• Abundant natural light
• Dedicated learning studios
• Flexible, movable furniture
Construction management complexities included managing the budget that was established pre-COVID, extensive value engineering, and intricate clash coordination. The project was completed on time and within budget. O‑A‑K has been a proud partner to Rockford Public Schools since 1989 as their exclusive construction management partner.
